Not Your Mother's Taper

Since Keith ran the bridge this morning, I had to run it tonight. But I only did 2 loops, which is 4 miles in 34 minutes and a 150HR. I was supposed to do an easier run, oh well.

I am doing my best to ignore Bill and Keith's bet on my half marathon time. Bill, I'd say the odds are against you. I was hoping for a 9:00/mi pace or better, not 8:20 or better. In fact, given Steeve's comment predicting the 1:30:00's, I've come to the conclusion that there must be something in the Strider Gatorade that you are all drinking.

But I will run strong and not leave anything on the course, it will be what it will be. One thing it should be is a PR. Back late Monday.

Good luck Joe! I know you will run well and drink well!

You should run the bridge a few more times tomorrow and maybe 5 or 6 times on Saturday, and then you'll be ready.

Time to make a withdrawal from the training bank. Have a super duper race, you've prepared well.
