Got Pace?

While I don't, it looks like Lance does. As usual he achieved what he set out to do athletically, which was run under 3 hours. It also looked like he had his domestiques all around him.

My Sunday run was of many paces and partners. Bill, Veronica, Jay and I ran the 6 mile Seabrook loop in 61 minutes for a nice long run pace. The second loop was not so comfortable. Bill and I started out a bit quicker and we picked up Kate who pushed us even more. Then we hit it even harder for a bit while we hung for a half mile or so with a group that included speedsters Debbie Rudisill and Liz Schwandt. It felt good, but not for a long run!

Eventually I let Bill and Kate go and ran with Terry a little, but we split up too. If you are confused by now, don't worry, I was too. The second 6 mile loop ended up being 50 minutes or a lot faster than the first. I was in no shape for another loop, but tacked on another 1.5 miles on my own for good measure.

I wonder if Edwin watched the Cowboys or the NYC Marathon from 12:30 to 1:30? Not a good day for our Texas NFL teams.

I hate my little toes by the way.

My next blog I will post a nice running theme song for geeks like me....my daughter will guess it if I give her the hint "Knock, knock"....to be continued.....

Watched the marathon on the web this morning, so I did not watch on TV. Yep, I watched the Cowboys. I'm still sick.
