You are a Houston runner when your anticipation focuses more on January 14 than December 25. Yesterday I joined Coach Steeeve and his band of SMARTies at Terry Hershey Park. 1.5 mile pre-warmup, masochistic core exercises, 2 mile warm-up, Monty Python silly walks, 5 x 3 min speed intervals with 3 min recovery, 1.5 mile cool down, Charcoal Chicken birthday party, long drive home, sleep, long drive back to work, Venti, Non-Fat Chai Latte, and so on.....The intervals were super duper, I love speedwork. They certainly shook the 30k cobwebs out. I thought I might have overdone it but no, I feel fine today. My core is talking to me. I've been neglecting my yoga, which means my core has been ignored.

yep, then i am a Houston runner. i basically have forgotten about Christmas, the day that is, not the spirit of....
I'm just tickled you picked up on the Monty Python reference, it escapes most. Must be a generational thing (although we have of course established you be much younger than I). Seriously, great having you out, Tuesday/Thursday next week, same time and place.
