Home Again

It was good to land at Intercontinental Airport this afternoon after being overseas for 11 days. After two weeks since the marathon, I am still in recovery mode. I've only run four miles since January 14. That was on January 19th and I found that my left hamstring and right lower leg were not recovered. The marathon tore me up pretty good this year.

Nevertheless, I was able to get in six days of stationary bike work and a little weight training since then. Half of the cycling was recumbent and half of it was upright. I like the recumbent better. However, my achilles tendon is still bothering me. I got off the plane and went right to Koala for some therapy. The chiro says that my Achilles looks better than it did before the marathon, so we are making progress. I'll start running (low mileage) again on February 1. I'll hope to see some of my fellow runners at the Buffalo Wallow 6k on Saturday. While I will run the race, I imagine I'll take it pretty easy, especially up the hills.

I have a lot of sleep and a lot of blogs to catch up on.
