BARC's Stephen Milford on his way to a second place age group finish
My 17th consecutive HARRA series race is in the bank and it was a PR by 43 seconds. But it was not easy.
The Buffalo Wallow cross country 6k today was a new course and I think it was tougher than last year. This is because there was an extra hill or two built in to the race. John Hendengren won both years, but was 25 seconds slower this year. I think that trend probably held for most of the experienced runners. For us beginners on the learning curve, well our times aren't nearly as consistent.

Time to ice, stretch, ice, stretch and ice some more. I've got my Park to Park 5 miler T-shirt on from last year, so I'll be gunning for another PR there next Saturday, my health and the Good Lord willing.

Hey, Young Fella, that's Hillary, who came from the Rockets Run having finished 2nd in age group with a PR at that race, then 3rd in age group at The Wallow.
Very tough to compare the Wallow year to year as the course has never been the same twice. This was muddier than last year but they took out the toughest climb by far as it was under water. Bill garmined it as 3.88 miles today. Anyway, a good race to just throw the ol' watch away and run...

My name is Robert Key and I am a runner from Houston in the Clear Lake area. I saw your blog listed when I was looking through the RBF directory and very much enjoyed reading some of your entries. I noticed the picture of Chris, I was just in On the Run a few days ago talking to him about training, etc.
I have a web site at http://www.faithfulsoles.com that is inspirational stories for walkers, runners and athletes of all ages and abilities. A new feature I have recently added to the site is a categorized and searchable Running Blog Database where members of my site can find a blog of interest to them based on other walkers, runners or athletes of similar abilities, goals and interests. To my knowledge it is the only one of its kind specifically for walkers and runners on the internet. I would appreciate it if you would take a moment to put a link to your blog in our Running Blog Database (Steve Bezner who commented to your entry here has linked his blog with us). Just click on "Link your running blog" under "Free Features" from the home page. If you want to learn more about my running background, just click on "Meet Robert" from the main menu , or to learn more about my involvement in the running community, click on "Faithful Soles in the news" in the left column under "Weekly Features". I also have a blog that I just started at http://faithfulsoles.blogspot.com, but most of my running information is on my web site. Also, if there is anyone else in your blogger network that you think would be interested in listing their blog, please feel free to pass this information along to them. Thanks and continued good luck in your training
