Swim and run. 550 yards flailing in the pool in 13 minutes. Lot's of stretching. Two point two miles on the treadmill in 20 minutes. Lot's of stretching. It's still not March, so I cheated by running again. But 20 minutes is just a warm-up..... it hardly qualifies as a run.
I'll probably need to mini taper prior to Saturday's 62 mile bike ride. So I might take Friday off. I think the last time I rode that far on a bike was in 1973. It's too late to prepare more. If I had more time, I could ask my wife to smack me with a paddle three times a week to toughen me up for the saddle.
We'll skip that training method.

I think the real secret to these long rides (and 62 will be the farthest I've gone in a day since the 2005 MS150) is to take advantage of the breakpoints. Even getting off the bike for 5 minutes or less helps.
Of course I won't be doing that during my Half Ironman, but c'est la vie.
