Predict Your Time & Pay Your Dues Run

OK, I'll spill the beans, our June 14 run will be held at Sylvan Rodriguez Park near the intersection of Highway 3 and Clear Lake City Boulevard. Like Yuri's Run, it will be an interesting mixture of pavement and trail. Good parking, a covered pavilion, nice restrooms, a children's playground, a reflecting pond, what more can one ask for? Oh yeah, better check if beer is allowed in the park....

Monday night the chiro hammered my leg, Tuesday night I rode 36.6 comfortable miles in Terry Hershey/GW Bush Parks (17.2mphm 132 avg HR), and tonight I ran the 2.9 mile Memorial Loop nice and easy (28:40, 126 avg HR).

Random runner sightings included Coach Steeeeve on Tuesday and Cassie tonight. I also helped a cyclist fix a flat on Tuesday, good training for the MS150 since I have not fixed one on the road before. Finally, I attended the PIM session tonight as I will talk to the clubs in our area about setting up a satellite PIM program in the fall. It seems like it will be relatively easy to pull off IF we can get enough motivated coaches. Since the running community in the Clear Lake area is pretty fragmented, I am a little concerned we won't get the coaching commitments. I'll do some spadework and see what happens. Saw the speedy Domer and PIM Coach Erin and her little ones.

I hear ya on the fragmented Clear Lake running community. But I like the idea of a local PIM...I'd be interested in coaching if it happens.
