Saddle Up

The relay took a lot out of me, but not enough to stay off the bike on Sunday. But it was a short reentry to the world of cycling, 25 miles at 18.4mph and a 134 avg HR. It was good to be riding again and I have a lot of training to do.

Monday was a rest day except I had my leg worked on by my chiro. It did not act up much after the relay, but it was a little tight. We'll keep working on it.

More cycling tomorrow and then perhaps a run during my two day business trip to another exotic global location.....Beaumont. What to do this weekend is the big question? Ride both days or run one and ride one?

Only time will tell.

I am happy to announce that my dear little running club had 10 teams at the relay on Saturday. That's the most teams we've taken to a relay. This is of course down to the legendary Veronica, Queen of the Realm. We, her loyal subjects, salute her.

Club stuff is a lot of work. At least for us mere mortals. Then there are immortals like Coach Steeeve, Jon and Veronica who make it all look easy. So if you know anyone who is carrying water for any running, cycling, multisport or other club, thank them the next time you see them.
