Well I did no training at all this week as I left for London on Sunday night and came back on Thursday. At least my muscles should be pretty well rested, although I can still feel a little hamstring abnormality. I wish I could have gotten more consistent sleep this week as I don't do jet lag that well. Last night was quite restless sleep.
Nothing to be done but to ride in the morning. The temperature in the mountains will be in the 40s when we start at 5:30 am, so I have some colder weather gear.
I have no idea how long it will take to do this ride. Last Sunday I did go up the mountain for nearly 3000 vertical feet and averaged 14.4 mph out and back on a 40 mile total ride. This Sunday ride was tough, I had to stop at a very steep part (hopefully there is nothing quite that steep on the ride tomorrow) and was riding from 5 to 8 mph on the steeper areas. So the 120 mile ride will probably take 9 to 10 hours on the bike and probably another hour or two of elapsed time due to rest stops and waiting for ride mates. So I am expecting it to be 10 to 12 hours from start to finish.
After the ride, we will head to a friends house outside Aspen to overnight. So there will be no ride report until Monday.
