Tonight I swam a mile continuously for the very first time in my life. I was the slowest to do so at Masters swimming in 41 minutes. But I was not really fatigued at the end and could probably have continued at that pace easily for another mile. So I guess I need to swim faster next time.
It was a swim meet mile, which is 66 lengths of a 25 yard pool or 1650 yards. Don't ask me why that is a mile in swimming. It's not a nautical mile. Swimming is just strange.
Coach says I have to work on breathing every third stroke so I breath on both sides and I have to work on less strokes per length of the pool (less than 20). Sounds like a plan.
