Sarah will be pleased to know that I am way slower than her at something....swimming....it took me 22:30 to cover 800 meters in the pool. But I'm ready for a sprint triathlon any time now. I'll do Combat if I'm not on a plane on May 26.
Jamoosh will be pleased that I had two Rahr and Sons Stormcloud IPA's at Boondoggles along with a John Dough pizza. No doubt that Boondoggles is my favorite pub in Houston.
The bike ride this morning was a bit challenging due to the humidity, which usually elevates my heart rate. The 43.5 miles were covered in 2:30 for a 17.3mph average speed and my average heart rate was a high 155. This was definitely a long tempo ride and I'll need some recovery time. But my body appears no worse for the wear.
I'm going to be travelling a lot in the coming weeks. Unfortunately I'll miss the Summer Kick-Off 5k as I'll be in Germany next weekend. Last year I ran the Summer Kick-Off with Sarah and her friend. We saw Erin zooming back in her St Arnolds jersey on her way to hardware. I'm eyeing a 10k that is connected to the Karstadt marathon in the Ruhrgebiet, near where I'll be staying. If I don't do that, I'll probably do a 5k on Tuesday night near Galway, Ireland. My wife will be in Ireland that week as well and she is fired up to make her 2007 racing debut there. I don't think she's raced since the fall HARRA relay.

Woohoo! I'm faster at swimming! Nanny nanny boo boo. ;)
Looking forward to seeing your tri debut at Combat. I'll be there as well!
Will miss you at Summer Kickoff.
Friday - two out of three is not bad. I'll leave it to you to figure out which two...
