Splash, Packets, Beer

Today was a 500 yard swim followed by packet stuffing for the BARC Pay Your Dues, Predict Your Time run on Sunday. For a little run we will have lots of give aways. I'll be keeping time. My ethics are behind reproach since I will not fudge anyones time for less than six figures.

Shiner Bock was consummed with BARC buddies after packet stuffing as I celebrated a new record low weigh-in at 201 pounds this morning. I am going through a shrinking phase. I don't understand how my weight seems to plateau for months and then I can lose 5-10 more pounds to reach a new plateau.

Plan B is to continue to lose weight through swim, bike and diet while my leg fully heals. Then my svelte self will be ready for a run or two :) Alas, this may take a while :( But I will wait. And then I will run.

Happy Swedish flag day to Veronica, BARC's Swedish blonde speedster who writes all our great Footprint articles.

The weight loss thing continues to perplex me. I've been struggling for the last 3 weeks since Bill and I started our competition and then all of a sudden, I've taken off 6 lbs in the last week and a half. The human body is too hard to figure out.
