This evening I rode 30 miles on the hike & bike trails of Terry Hershey & George Bush Park. The pace was 17.4mph, which was not bad considering all the turns, strong headwinds, and debris on the George Bush trail. So Jamoosh, you aren't too far back after all. I needed a good ride to work off the pizza and beer from Big Dog Beer Night and Boondoggles yesterday, which was a Pub Crawl training session.
What really astounds me is that Ryan Hall ran the Houston Half Marathon at a speed of 13.2mph. He could beat some bikers.
I also said hello to Coach Steeeve and slapped hands with Ol'Blue Eyes himself, the one and only Vic. I complimented Steeeve on the ad in Running Times for the Koala/Lukes half marathon. He said they got a great deal on it at the RRCA convention. I took a video of the Coach Steeeve & friends training methods.
Before last nights Pub Crawl training, I did get in 400 yds in the pool and some stretches and core work.

Tree-mendous! Wow, hadn't seen that clip for decades, thanks for finding it. Thanks also for the heads up that our ad is at the newsstands, time to go follow up on that.
Steeeve
That is so funny! I'm still laughing. This is must see material for all SMARTies!
Well, crap. My work blocks youtube. Can't wait to get home to see it. I might just take off early.
