I am not a good patient. Life is too short for a nasty cold that makes me weak and miserable. It just makes me angry. There is work to be done, events to prepare for, beer to drink, life to live. But it is getting a little better today, so got out for a two mile walk on the Seabrook trail.
Good thing I am not running 26.2 on Sunday as my energy is pretty low. However, I'll probably toodle around the 5k course just for grins. Nice and easy to see how the leg feels. Then me and my camera will be looking for you.
Needless to say I have not started my cycling event training yet. But I did buy a bike trainer so I could simulate long, steady climbing. As Sarah suggests, I'll have to do a bunch of Kemah bridge repeats, but I really need sustained climbing time without a break. Riding for an hour into a wind will work just as well.
But I only need to finish the darn thing without motor vehicle help. Stopping along the way to admire the mountain view will be just fine.
