My Hamstring Haiku

For no good reason whatsoever, I will continue my tradition of posting a poorly written Haiku in honor of a running injury. But before I do that, my dear left hamstring continues to improve. I was happy to run 5 miles in a steady 45:06. I really would like to race this weekend, as I need to get into a fast pace mindset, so I may pick out a 5k.

Jessica noticed I had posted the Dublin Marathon as a future race. I will start training for it in June. Whether it will happen or not I am not sure. I lost a lot of confidence when my knee failed on me on my last long training run preparing for the Houston Marathon. Nothing to be done but to scale that hill once again and see what happens. Why Dublin?

Dave from the UK has the idea in this picture. He is a lot faster runner than I but I have a chance in the post race Guinness.

My Hamstring Haiku

Reggie Bush at camp.
Sore left hamstring a'resting
mine is a'running.

He sprints for money
a million dollar strider
but I run to be.

Our hamstrings will heal,
we dash as fast as ever
dazzle in the fall.
