Since I've learned today that I have two tickets to the ND-PSU match-up on September 9. It was announced a few weeks ago that this game received more alumni ticket applications than any game in ND history.
No you can't have the tickets Jon and no I won't take your JoePa cut-out along. Please bring it to the race on August 12, it will get me wound up enough to cut some seconds off my time.
I am looking forward to football season, since baseball just does not interest me at all. Unfortunately, Notre Dame is getting hyped up way too much in the preseason predictions. While the offense will be strong, the defense remains suspect as was apparent in the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State. The kicking game is also an uncertainty. So the national championship that some pundits are predicting is a long shot. ND is still not as loaded as Texas, Southern Cal, Ohio State and several others. If they have another strong season, they will be seriously loaded in a year or two as they are recruiting very well.
OK, enough college football, today was a well earned rest day. Back to the road in the morning.

We have two tickets for PSU as well. The two of us were a combined 1 for 14 in the lottery. Tough year...can't wait for the season, though!
