It's Ballunar Liftoff Festival weekend in Clear Lake. That means football season is upon us. Football season can only mean that fall is arriving. The arrival of fall brings cooler weather and racing such as the Chicago Marathon start pictured above. Time to get fired up!
This morning I was fortunate to get in a nice one hour, two loop run at Memorial Park with Veronica, Lee Anne, and Terry from BARC. It is always good motivation and an honor to run with such fine and talented people. We set up the BARC tent before hand and hung out at the HARRA Party in the Park. I've never been to the party before, but I certainly enjoyed the refreshments and the chance to talk with people, such as Bruce Mansur. Bruce likes to run in the mountains and has recently set a half marathon PR at the Georgetown to Idaho Springs (CO) half. Steve B was the first HRB'r I talked to, followed by June, Vic, Sarah, Jon, and Waverly.
Waverly and I briefly checked out the Houston Croquet field action, which is hidden right next to the Tennis Courts. This is the home court of the Houston Croquet Association. I wonder if there are any Houston Croqueting Bloggers?
