Laboring on Labor Day

I wanted to run 13.1 but settled for 12. I'm having a hard time dialing in the right pace for long endurance training runs. I ran the first 6.5 in under 10 min/mi pace and switched to a run/walk method for the final 5.5. Finished the 12 miles in 2 hours and 4 minutes with an avg HR of 143. Saw Keith looking relaxed and slicing through the miles like a sharp knife through a tender filet (medium rare).

Don't know why I felt sluggish today, the weather was reasonable for Houston. The sunrise on the bay horizon at Pine Gully Park was pretty gorgeous.

There is a lot of racing on the calander ahead, I need to update my training schedule for the coming two months to work it all in.
