Chip Off The Old Ice Block

The Wind Chill Advisory has been extended as dangerously coldwind chill readings between 15 and 20 below zero will continue through the day. These conditions will improve very little this afternoon as temperatures slowly climb into the single digits withwest winds increasing to 15 to 20 mph... with gusts up to 30 mph. Temperatures will fall well below zero again tonight... and windchill readings will once again drop to around 25 below zero. A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong windswill combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and gloves.

My daughter ran her first 5k today, the Super Bowl 5k in Novi, MI. She's the Bears fan posing with her grad school and running buddy, Liz. The temperature at the race start was -2 degrees Fahrenheit with winds gusting to 15 mph.

All finishers got a pint glass. The Irish in us will do anything for a pint glass.

My daughter is smarter than I am (although we may revisit this after today) and is now gunning after my running prowess. You go girl, you are the best.
