Cross the Running Gods at your own Peril

The running gods say don't increase your mileage more than 10% a week and don't jam too many hard workouts in a short period. You'll be sorry. Well I am not sorry yet, but I am tempting the gods to punish me.

I ran 5 miles in 44 minutes at 5:45 today and it was pretty tough not only due to the first real summer like run. My legs are like lead tonight. The main culprit was running today after my speed workout yesterday. My first speed workout in a long time.

And I am scheduled to do another 4 tomorrow evening with a fellow Barcer. Maybe I can convince her to do a recovery run.

Saturday is the Bayou Bash relay and followed by the Sunday morning BARC run.

Yikes.
