I had relay set up, runner spotting and break down duties at the HMSA 25k today. It was good to see so many friends running today and I got to see them all 3 times. When Ben Harvie was heading toward the finish about with maybe 4 tens of a mile to go, I was struck by how there is no other feeling in athletics than that last half mile in a long distance running event. Cycling sprints do not give the same feeling and nor does swimming as hard as one can. I miss that feeling of course, which makes going to these events as a non-runner bittersweet.
Edwin must have gotten skinnier since I had a hard time spotting him all day, but got one picture of him.

Jitka is incredible. 25K yesterday in Huntsville. 25K today downtown.
The sign on the bridge looked great when I was out there riding the course.
Thanks for the pic and encouragement. Always good seeing you.
Good to see you yesterday! Great job spotting!
I can't believe I left a comment without writing something rude or sarcastic. I apologize.
