I love running in my winter gear. Slicing through the crisp air in my tights, gloves, hat and long sleeves makes me feel like a finely tuned running machine. Old Man Winter can stay for as long as he likes.
My blogging is suffering as I'm just picking em up and putting em down as we reach the peak of marathon training. 150 miles completed this month, a personal record.
This week saw Monday as a rest day, 7 on Tuesday in Memorial Park, 4.6 on Wednesday in Terry Hershey Park and 7.3 on Thursday back at Terry Hershey. Pace was in the 8:20 to 8:30 range on average in all runs, with HR average in the low 140's. Good stuff. Fast Coach Steeeve was at Terry Hershey along with Faster Steve B and the rest of the Strider training group. It would be nice to tag along some evening, but my wife would like to say hi to me once in awhile.
Looking forward to the Reindeer Run 5k on Saturday morning. If I can go out fast, but not too fast in the first mile, maybe I'll get under 22 minutes for the second time. I'll be gunning for it.
