It's Pop Of Course


A statistical analysis by geographic location of what people call pop (blue). Misguided portions of the country call it Coke (red), soda (yellow green), or by some other misnomer (green). You can register your vote here.

I was surprised in Vancouver BC last weekend to see "pop" advertised. However, it brought back memories of the classic Faygo ad "when was the last time, you had a good slug-of-a red pop?".

I'm a purist- "Soft drink" anybody?
As an OkieTex southerner, I'm pretty comfortable when people say "coke" in generic fashion.

I've always been tickled by my cousins in Wisconsin who say "Soda"
(Insert best nasal northern accent-- "Sowdaah")
