USA 10 Miler

A lot of positives about volunteering at the race today.

- I got to run various distances with some of my favorite people including Vic, JD, Sarah, Veronica, and Pete.
- I was able to support numerous runners as they hit the 15k mark and neared the final stretch.
- I saw numerous friends before, during and after the run.
- The BARC water stop at mile 4 had plenty of fluids and we did not fall behind.
- The clean up was finished and all the equipment back in storage before noon.
- We had a post race celebration this evening at Boondoggles. along with a birthday party for Veronica's significant other.

Of course I could be selfish and moan about missing out on running competitively today in the nice weather for once at our ten miler. I could cry in my beer that I was unable to go out there and set a 10 mile PR, which I surely would have done if I was in running shape.

Boo hoo.

But I'm taking credit for running 2 miles today since I did that much running around and pacing. I also started my eccentric calf stretch routine again and we'll see how it goes. My legs are pretty shot, but most of it is due to the hard cycling I did on Thursday and Saturday. This week will be primarily a recovery week.
