My cycling credentials are rounding out quite nicely. Today I added a wind and rain ride, although we cut it short. The storm front passed through Clear Lake from 8 am to 10 am this morning, right on time for our Saturday morning club ride. Rather than being smart and riding this afternoon, I donned my rain gear and braved the elements with a handful of other fools.
Not too smart. It was tough. We rode into the headwind and rain for several miles and finally cut the ride short. 26 miles at 17.1 mph and 140HR.
Edit: Noon in Clear Lake and it is sunny, crisp and a bit windy. Duh, should have waited. Kinda reminds me of the foolish run I did on Christmas Eve in stormy weather and one day after a 21 miler.
Rode 15 miles on Friday. Took Thursday off as my yoga class on Wednesday night aggravated my leg issue.
