Back in Houston

I'm still only 101 days behind Keith as I have now run all five days in June. By Thursday I will be 108 days behind him since my mini streak will soon be over. Too tough for me.

Sunday in Colorado, I paced my wife 2.1 miles and then another 2.8 miles, 131HR on my own.

This evening back in Houston, I broke low heart rate training to run with some BARCers from the On the Run store. They have developed a trail run through the woods off Space Center Boulevard that extend behind UH Clear Lake. It is a neat little run with a lot of twists and turns. We estimated the run as about 3.5 miles and my average heart rate was up to 141.

How do I find that route? It sounds good.

We can run it some evening this week (ex Wed) or come next Monday night to On the Run at 6:30. If you park at the On the Run store, head down Space Center on the left side toward Nasa Road 1. Right after the office building, the wooded area begins. It is a thin trail which starts in a small opening up a hill very soon after the start of the wooded area. Trail guide with branch recommended.

Thursday night at 6:45 pm, I will depart from the On the Run store for the trail if you'd like to tag along.
