After the race on Saturday, I did a short 2 mile recovery run on Saturday night followed by a 7.2 mile long run at 10:03 average pace on Sunday night. I wanted to go 9 miles on Sunday but just did not have it. My calves and thighs are feeling the effects today of the race and mileage of last week.
So it is time to take Monday off to recover. Since I am travelling to Atlanta Tuesday morning followed by Baton Rouge Tuesday evening, run planning is tricky. I hope to try a five mile run around the LSU Lakes Tuesday night at about 9:30 pm or at 5:30 am Wednesday morning. I've never done it but hear it is a good run.
