Dialing it In

Went to the track to get some pacing work in for Sunday. Started with a 1 mile warm-up in 8:54 and 135 avg heart rate followed by some stretching. Ran three miles in 7:46, 8:18 and 7:40 followed by a one-half mile cooldown with an average 157HR. The three miles were at a faster pace than planned for Sunday and was tougher than I expected.

If it is warm on race day, maybe I'll jog the mile home afterwards, do a victory cannonball into the pool, down a nice frosty ale and jog back for the remainder of the post race festivities.
