A small group of commandos from the Bay Area Running Club snuck up to the Woodlands this morning hoping to catch those northerners unaware. Chris Bittinger came away with the overall victory. Yours truly crushed his previous 5k PR by 39 seconds with a 21:55. Veronica Hoge ran off with a pregnant 5k PR and Vera Balic kept her company along the way.
Holden gamely showed up and ran strong after his morning 9 miler with Woodlands fit. Hey Bloggers, Holden is back, looking good and is ready for next weekend's half marathon where there will be a gaggle of Houston Bloggers.
Next up is tomorrow morning, Seabrook trails, 6:30 am for 10+ miles.
A good time was had by all at RTW.
Under 22 minutes baby. I'm feeling so good.

I think it was the article that I sent Veronica about Ingrid Kristiansen winning the Houston Marathon in 1984 (still Texas' fastest time for a female) four months after delivering that had her fired up this morning!
Glad you all had a great time!
Just got the results from Susie at Luke's and ... congratulations!
WOWZA JOE!! you go with your bad self!!
see you next Sunday!!
Monster PR and super speedy. WTG, Joe. See you in a few days.
I tried to post this yesterday and it didn't work. I'll try again.
WHOA, Joe, awesome on the PR. Veronica offered to pace me to a 29:59, but unfortunately I had to be elsewhere Saturday morning.
